João Kleber Almeida Gentile graduated in Medical Sciences from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Cidade de São Paulo FM-UNICID (2005-2010). They were a General Surgeon at Hospital Ipiranga UGA-II (2012-2014), Digestive System Surgeon at Hospital do Servidor Público Municipal HSPM (2016-2018), and PhD student in Digestive System Surgery at the Institute of Medical Assistance to the Public Servant of the State of São Paulo (IAMSPE). They are a Full Specialist Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (TCBCD), Full Member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons (TCBC), Full member of the Latin American Federation of Surgery (FELAC), and Member of the International Federation for Surgery and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO). They are also a Fellow of the Society of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Bariatric Surgeon at the Centro Especializado em Obesidade e Síndrome Metabólica (CEOSM) at Hospital São Camilo - Unidade Pompéia, General Surgeon I at the Emilio Ribas Hospital (IIER-SP), and Scientific Reviewer for the Einstein Journal.
