Prof. Daniel Krzysztof Wójcik received the M.Sc. and
Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Physics, University of Warsaw, in 1996 and
2000, respectively. He was a Research Assistant at the Center for Theoretical
Physics, PAS from 1996 to 2000. He worked at the Institute for Physical Science
and Technology, University of Maryland from 2000 to 2002, and the School of
Physics, Georgia Institute of Technology, from 2002 to 2003, on deterministic models of quantum walks which
formed the basis of his habilitation from the Institute of Physics, PAS in
2008. In 2003, he joined the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, PAS,
where he is currently a Professor and heads the Laboratory of Neuroinformatics. He also run the Neuro Group within the Bioinspired Artificial
Neural Networks Consortium at Jagiellonian University (2019-2023) and was an Adjunct
Research Professor at the Technical University of Brno (2018-2021).
