Dr Julia Sarant is a Professor of Audiology in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She completed her PhD studies in Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Melbourne. She leads the Hearing Loss and Cognition Research Program in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology. She has published extensively in various journals, and serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of Audiology and a reviewer for multiple international and national research funding bodies. Her research interests include hearing loss, hearing aids, cochlear implants, cognitive decline, cognitive aging, cognitive resilience, and barriers and enablers to hearing interventions.
