Roman Höllwieser graduated from Vienna University of Technology and obtained his M.Sc. in Physics (2007) and Ph.D. in Physics (2009). He also completed his postdoctoral research at the same university (2009–2013). Before his current appointment, he was an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the New Mexico State University (2013–2017). He currently works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
