Prof. Dr. Hongkun Li received his B.Sc. degree, M.Sc. degree, and Ph.D. degree from Dalian University of Technology, China. From 2003 to 2005, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK. Prof. Dr. Hongkun Li is currently a Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, China. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Hongkun Li is the Vice Chairman of the Liaoning Vibration Engineering Society, a member of the Equipment Fault Diagnosis Branch of China Vibration Engineering Society, and a member of the Equipment Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society. Prof. Dr. Hongkun Li has been responsible for the research work of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the major sub-projects of the National Science and Technology Center. He has participated in research work for the National Science and Technology Support Plan, which totaled 973 and 863 projects. He received the China Machinery Industry Federation First Prize and the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award. His research interests include fault diagnosis and operation reliability assessments, weak signal feature information extraction, artificial intelligence, and vibration and noise control. He has published more than 100 academic papers in conferences and respectable journals.
