Prof. Dr. Zhenqiang Ni currently works as an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the College of Architecture and Engineering, Liaocheng University. He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, a Master of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering at Shandong University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering at the Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and the Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in geotechnical engineering disaster prevention and mitigation, foundation pit engineering, slope engineering, etc.

Dr. Wei Zhong is the executive deputy head of Dongchuan Debris Flow National Field Observation and Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received a PhD from the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, from 2004 to 2009. From 2017 to 2018, he went to the University of Limerick as a visiting scholar. In 2018, he was recognized as a "high-level overseas study talent in Sichuan Province". He has long been engaged in research on the mechanism of slope disasters and their disaster prevention and reduction technologies. He has presided over more than ten national, provincial (ministerial), scientific academy, and local projects and participated in more than ten major projects including the National 973 Program, National 863 Program, National Natural Science Foundation General Project, Key Deployment Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, STS Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Major Project of China Railway Corporation, and Project of Sinopec South China Sales Company.
