Prof. Dr. Marko
Banovic is a specialist in internal medicine and a subspecialist in cardiology.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He obtained his master’s
degree in 2008 and a PhD in 2012. The same year, he specialized in cardiology,
and in 2014, he was appointed as a clinical assistant in the Department of
Internal Medicine. He earned his subspecialty in cardiology in 2017 and
appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at
the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Medicine in 2021. He is a member of the
Serbian Medical Society, the Association of Cardiologists of Serbia, the
European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology. He possesses
extensive experience in echocardiography, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and
interventional cardiology.
Prof. Dr. Ivana
Nedeljkovic graduated in Belgrade in 1992 and became a specialist in internal
medicine in 1997 and became a subspecialist-cardiologist in 2012. She has been
working in science since 1999, when she obtained a master's degree, and, in
2009, she obtained a PhD. Since 1994, she has been employed at the Cardiology
Department, University Clinical Center of Serbia, where she has held the
position of Head of the Lab for Ergospirometry since 2010. Since 2016, she has
been a professor of internal medicine at Belgrade University. She is the
president of the Society of Sports Cardiology of Serbia and a member of the
Cardiology Society of Serbia. She was the president of the working group for
the cardiovascular image of the Association of Cardiologists of Serbia
(2015–2017). Since 2003, she has been a Fellow of the European Society of
Cardiology. Her scientific field of expertise includes cardiovascular imaging,
cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and stress echocardiography.
