Prof. Yuanying Qiu is the former Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and currently serves as a Second-Level Professor, Doctoral and Master’s Supervisor, and a Discipline
Leader in Mechanical Engineering in Northwest Electronic Science and Technology University. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Engineering Mechanics from Northwestern Polytechnical University and his Ph. D. Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Xidian University. He studied abroad as a joint doctoral student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shizuoka University, Japan and has been nominated for one hundred outstanding doctoral dissertations in China. In addition, he has presided over a number of projects, such as 863, National Natural Science Foundation, Provincial Science and Technology Research and Development Program, and Enterprise Cooperation, and won two second prizes for National Science and Technology Progress, three first
prizes for Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress, and one second prize and two second prizes for Provincial Teaching Achievements. His research area is kinematics of parallel robots and mechanical structural dynamics.
