Prof. Dr. Cristina Padez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, Portugal, and a Senior Lecturer in Anthropology at Portugal and Coordinator of the Research Centre for Anthropology and Health, University of Coimbra. She completed her PhD studies in Biological Anthropology at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. She is also the Coordinator of the Research Centre for Anthropology and Health (CIAS) at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Her areas of interest include childhood obesity, social inequalities, gender, sedentary behaviors, human adaptation, human growth, age at menarche, and secular trends in height.
Dr. Daniela Rodrigues is a Research Collaborator at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra. She completed her BA studies in Anthropology at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra (2009), MA studies in Human Evolution and Biology at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra (2011), and PhD studies in Anthropology, with specialization in Biological Anthropology at the University of Coimbra (2017). Her research interests include Childhood obesity, Physical activity, Screen time, Diet patterns, and Health inequalities.
Prof. Dr. Helder Miguel Fernandes is an Invited Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda and an Integrated Member of SPRINT, Sport Physical activity, and health Research & innovation. He completed his PhD studies in Psychology (Health and Exercise) at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2007), and PhD studies in Sports Science at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2021). He has also completed a Post-Doctoral fellowship in Sports Sciences, studying the psychological and physiological responses to different modes and intensities of exercise. His research interests include sport and exercise psychology, sport pedagogy, physical activity and health, and psychometrics.
