Author Biographies

Chi-Jung Chang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University and his Ph.D. in Material Science & Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University in 1999. After working as a researcher at the Industrial Technology Research Institute for five years, he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at Feng Chia University in 2004. He served as Chair of the Chemical Eng. Dept. from 2011 to 2014. He became a distinguished professor at Feng Chia University in 2015. He was included in the ranking of the TOP 2% of scientists in the world for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, published by Stanford University (USA). His research interests include inorganic nanomaterials chemistry, surface/colloidal chemistry, and polymer chemistry, with a focus on the design and synthesis of functional inorganic and polymeric materials and their applications in photocatalysis, environmental remediation, H2 production, energy conversion, and chemosensors. He is also a member of the Polymer Society, the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Catalysis Society of Taiwan.
