Dr. Shannon Stewart is a Full Professor and Clinical Training Director at the Faculty of Education and an Associate Professor within the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. She is an Associate Scientist at the Children’s Health Research Institute and an Associate Scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute. Dr. Stewart is also an interRAI fellow, lead developer, and international lead of the interRAI Child and Youth suite of instruments. She is a member of the interRAI international overarching Board, the Mental Health Assessment for Children and Youth (MHACY), and the Canadian Council of Professional Psychology Programs. Her program of research focuses on improving early identification of mental health and substance use, enhancing access to mental health care services, and contributing to increased evidence-informed care planning to improve the functionality of mental health services across multiple service sectors.
