Prof. Dr. Alejandro A. Peregrina-Lucano is a Professor at the University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He received his PhD in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Salamanca. He is a peer reviewer for several scientific journals.
Prof. Dr. Ricardo Manríquez-González is the Head of the Chemistry Laboratories in the Deparment of Wood, Cellulose and Paper at the University of Guadalajara. He received his Master’s Degree in Pharmacobiology from the University of Guadalajara in 2000, and his PhD in Chemistry from the Free University of Berlin in 2007. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the National System of Researchers Level 2. Furthermore, he is a peer reviewer for several scientific journals, including Cellulose, ACS Omega, Carbohydrate Research, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, and Gels. Also, he has been a guest editor in Polymers of MDPI and currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Applied Magnetic Resonance of Springer Nature. His research interests include zwitterionic cellulose, solid state NMR, hybrid materials, chemical functionalization, bacterial cellulose and molecular interactions.
Prof. Dr. Aida Alejandra Pérez-Fonseca is a Professor at the University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering, University of Guadalajara. She is a Chemical Engineer with a Master's and Doctorate in Science in Chemical Engineering. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Laval University in 2015. She is a member of the National System of Researchers Level 2. Her lines of research include the development and characterization of biopolymeric materials, as well as the development of materials with environmental applications.
Prof. Dr. Jorge Ramón Robledo-Ortiz is a Professor at the Department of Wood, Cellulose and Paper, University of Guadalajara. He received his Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Guadalajara in 2003, 2005, and 2009, respectively. His main research interests are the processing, characterization, and application of polymeric materials, within which he has developed studies on polymer blends, foamed polymers, development and synthesis of biopolymers, biocomposites, modeling, chemical, physical-mechanical and durability characterization, both for conventional applications (automotive, construction, utensils, etc.) and in environmental engineering (adsorption and biodegradation).
