Dr. Chengwu Zou is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University. He is mainly engaged in research on the pathogenic mechanism of plant pathogenic fungi, plant immunity, and sugarcane disease resistance breeding. He systematically studies the infection and pathogenic process of sugarcane tip rot fungi, uses genetic populations to explore sugarcane disease resistance genes, and uses molecular markers to assist sugarcane disease resistance breeding.
Dr. Xiping Yang is an Associate Professor and Head at the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University. He received his PhD from the Department of Agronomy, University of Florida, and was a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Florida. His research mainly focuses on sugarcane germplasm innovation and molecular breeding, and research includes the development of sugarcane molecular markers (SSR and SNP chips), the discovery of key genes controlling important agronomic traits in sugarcane through population genomics, QTL positioning, whole-genome association analysis, and functional verification.
