Dr. Paula N Pereira holds a degree in Biological Sciences (Bachelor's Degree) from the Federal University of São Carlos during 2005 to 2009, a Master's Degree in Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo during 2009 to 2012 and a Ph.D in Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo (IBUSP) with a sandwich doctorate period carried out at the University of Oxford in the Plant Science Department in 2014. She has experience in the area of Botany, with emphasis on Plant Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, working mainly on the following themes: aquaporins, phytohormones, CAM photosynthesis, nitrogen metabolism, regulation of proton and anion transport inside tonoplast vesicles and gene expression.
