Sarah E. Pennington is an Associate Professor of K8 Language Arts in the College of Education, Health, & Human Development at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. Pennington, a former middle-grades English Language Arts teacher in Florida, earned her doctorate from the University of South Florida in 2016. Dr. Pennington currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses that focus on literacy, curriculum, and education research methods. Her recent publications include articles in Networks: An Online Journal for Teacher Research. Her current research focuses on the perspectives of middle grades students, school staff, and parents/caregivers regarding how effectively their schools meet the needs of the young adolescents in their care.
