Author Biographies

Dr. Anika Trebbin is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Market Analysis at the Thünen Institute, Germany's Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry, and Fisheries. She completed her PhD studies in Geography at Marburg University, Germany, in 2012, and is currently coordinating a project on carbon footprints in the food chain. She has published 20+ papers in various journals, and serves as a speaker for the agri-food geographies working group within the German Geographic Society. Her research interests include agri-food geographies, sustainable food, and rural areas.
Dr. Katrin Geburt is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Market Analysis at the Thünen Institute, Germany's Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry, and Fisheries. She completed her PhD studies in Agricultural Sciences at Göttingen University in 2014, and is currently working in a project on carbon footprints in the food chain. Her research interests include ecological sustainability, sustainable food, and animal welfare.
