Author Biographies

Javier Lopez Otero is a professor and researcher with a Ph.D. in Geography, specializing in economic geography, innovation, mobility, and migration studies. His academic career includes studies at the University of Seville and Utrecht University, supported by a robust publication record. He has presented numerous papers at international conferences across Europe. With expertise in spatial analysis, particularly in data analysis and machine learning modeling, he teaches at UNIR University and the University Isabel I of Castille. Additionally, he is a permanent member of the European think tank Sallux and a member of the Andalusian Association of Regional Science in Spain.
Ángel Obregón-Sierra is a university professor at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), within the Faculty of Education. With a background in computer science, Ángel also holds a Ph.D. in Education. His research primarily focuses on examining projects under the Wikimedia Foundation, with a particular emphasis on Wikipedia and Wikidata. Throughout his academic career, he has published over 20 articles in this area. Ángel is an active member of Wikimedia Spain, contributing to the development and promotion of open knowledge platforms.
Antonio Gavira Narváez holds a doctorate in Geography from the University of Seville and serves as a professor and researcher at the University of Córdoba. He specializes in sustainable mobility, rail transport, migration studies, and the use of data sources such as Wikipedia for geographical research. His academic background includes studies at the University of Seville, supported by a strong record of publications and conference participation. Throughout his career, he has focused on university research and teaching, including his role at the Institute of Regional Development at the University of Seville from 2006 to 2010. He has also taught at various institutions, including the University of Seville, Pablo de Olavide University, Osuna University School (University of Seville), International University of Valencia, and Isabel I University. Additionally, he is a member of the permanent commission of the Geography group within the Spanish Geography Association.
