Aitao Zhou received a bachelor’s degree in mining
engineering from Henan Polytechnic University in 2003, a master’s degree in
safety technology and engineering from Henan Polytechnic University in 2006,
and a Ph.D. in safety technology and engineering from China University
of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in 2012. Since 2012, he has been teaching at
the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering of China University
of Mining and Technology (Beijing). He is also a national registered safety
engineer, winner of the “Coal Youth Science and Technology Award” and one of
the first “Yueqi Young Scholars” of China University of Mining and Technology
(Beijing). He is a reviewer for domestic and foreign journals such as Sciences.
He has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects, two
sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, six open projects of key
laboratories, and more than ten corporate cooperation projects. In recent
years, he has published more than 60 papers in domestic and foreign journals,
more than 40 of which have been included in SCI, EI, etc.; participated in the
editing of six monographs and textbooks; obtained seven invention patents; and won fourteen
provincial and ministerial scientific research awards. His main research
directions include gas efficient extraction theory and technology, ventilation theory
and technology during disasters, and emergency rescue theory and technology.
