Author Biographies

Zheng Minhui is an associate professor at the College of Chinese Language and Literature at Fujian Normal University and holds a Ph.D. in classical philology. She is a member of the Chinese Exegetical Society and serves as a director of the Fujian Dictionary Society. Dr. Zheng has led one project funded by the National Social Science Fund, two projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education, and three initiatives supported by the Fujian Social Science Fund. Her current research primarily focuses on the Buddhist language and the semantics of aesthetic categories. A distinctive aspect of her academic work is her application of linguistic methods to address fundamental issues in religious studies and the aesthetics of literature and art.
Dr. Xiang Hong is a research assistant in the Centre of Buddhist Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He is also a member of the Buddhist Missionary Elite Group of the Prajna Paramita Charity Association and a researcher at the Fafang Culture Research Association. Dr. Xiang Hong studied at the Buddhist College of Mount Jiuhua, the Buddhist Academy of China, and the University of Peradeniya and has been awarded such scholarships as the Buddhist Association of China Scholarship for International Students, the Khyentse Foundation PhD Scholarship, and the Louis Cha Postgraduate Research Fellowship. His research interests primarily encompass the Dunhuang manuscript, Buddhist philology, and the ideological history of Chinese Pure Land Buddhism in medieval China.
