Prof. Dr. Elan Zohar Eisenmesser received his B.Sc. in Physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1991 and his Ph.D. in Biology from Purdue University in 1998; he conducted his Postdoctoral research at the National Cancer Institute (1998 to 2000) and Brandeis University (2000 to 2006). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where he largely uses biochemical and biophysical methods, such as NMR and Cryo-EM, to study the conformational changes and function of enzymes. Dr. Eisenmesser is an active lecturer at the graduate school, where he also received the Mentor of the Year Award of the University of Colorado Medical Campus in 2014.
