Fabiana Tortora is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Genetics and Biophysics "ABT" CNR, Naples, Italy. She graduated in Biology at Federico II University, and received her Ph.D. in Biochemical and Biotechnological Sciences in 2019. Her recent work aims to identify the protein interactors of ultraconserved long non-coding RNA up-regulated in bladder cancer and to study its possible diagnostic or therapeutic potential in the clinical management of patients. Ferdinando Febbraio is a senior researcher at the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology CNR, Naples, Italy. He graduated in Biological Sciences at Federico II University, Naples (Italy), and received his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Biology in 2001. He was co-founder of a biotechnological start-up. He studied molecular biomarkers for early diagnosis of cancer and biosensors for environmental security and human health. Amelia Cimmino is a Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Institute of Genetics and Biophysics "ABT" CNR, Naples, Italy. She graduated in 1996 at the School of Medicine and Surgery, Federico II University, Naples (Italy). She has a residency in Clinical Chemistry and Molecular Biology and a PhD in Cellular Biochemistry at the Second University of Naples. In 2004 moved to Ohio State University (USA), as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Carlo Croce’s team. Dr. Cimmino’s work focused on microRNAs and lncRNA related to human disease, in particular bladder cancer.
