Dr. Zhi Yu is an associate professor at the College of Horticulture and Forestry Sciences, Huazhong Agricultural University. He completed his PhD studies at Huazhong Agricultural University in 2008. Over the years, he has been actively engaged in scientific and technological services in many places in Hubei as a special agent of the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department in Zhuxi and Xiaochang counties. His current research focuses on tea processing and cleaner production technologies. He is responsible for the teaching and practice of undergraduate tea courses such as “Tea Processing”, “Clean Production of Tea”, and “Tea Trade and Management”.
Prof. Dr. Dejiang Ni is a Professor at the College of Horticulture and Forestry Sciences, Huazhong Agricultural University. He completed his PhD studies at Huazhong Agricultural University in 2003. He recently led the “Study on the Mechanism of Yellow Light-Induced Formation of Linalool, an Important Aroma Component of Postharvest Tea Fresh Leaves” Project. In addition, he is currently a director of the Chinese Tea Society. His research interests include tea processing theory and technology; development of mechanized, continuous, clean and intelligent equipment; functional and nutritional molecular research mainly on polysaccharides and catechins; and tea safety research mainly focusing on changes in the morphology, structure, and activity of fluorine.
