Peijun Li graduated from Northeast Agricultural University where he received his B.S. in Food Science and Engineering and his Ph.D. in Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He joined the Hefei University of Technology in 2013 as a lecturer and is now a full professor at the School of Food and Biological Engineering. His research interests include cultures and fermented meat products, bio-protective cultures used in meat and poultry, and the control of harmful bacteria in meat.
