Malte Spitz earned an MA in modern German literature (2018) from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a PhD in modern German literature from the European University of Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (2024). He is now the coordinator and a research assistant of the research project "Cryptophilology." Jonas Fränkel's "Underground Science" in Historical and Political Kontext. His work in literature has resulted in a variety of publications, presentations, lectures, and courses; memberships, including the Marcel Proust Society and the Society for European Jewish Literature Studies; and awards in the Petra-Ernst-Kühr-Preis (2020). His research interests include Jewish Literature, Prague German language Literature, History of the Frankfurt School, and History of Philology.
