Anthony J. Gill is a professor of
Surgical Pathology at the University of Sydney, a senior staff specialist in
anatomical pathology at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and chairman
of the Australian Pancreatic Genome Initiative (APGI). He is the lead for
clinical pathology teaching at the University of Sydney. And he is passionate
about teaching at all levels from undergraduate to the postgraduate and
postdoctoral level. His scope of clinical practice includes both anatomical
(surgical and cytological) pathology and targeted molecular testing of tumors,
with an emphasis on biomarker development and companion diagnostic testing for
targeted therapies. He earned many awards, such as “The Graham Coupland Prize”,
“Fagan Memorial Prize for Surgery”, “Cancer Institute Wildfire Award”, “The
Distinguished Pathologist Award” etc.
