Professor Jiping Sheng received a Ph.D. in Engineering from the College of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering of China Agricultural University in 1999. She performed postdoctoral research at the School of Life Sciences of Peking University from 2002 to 2004 and worked as a visiting scholar at Harvard Medical School from 2014 to 2015. She was a lecturer and professor at the College of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering, China Agricultural University from 1995 to 2012. She is now a professor at the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Renmin University of China. She serves as the Director of the Food Safety and Food Science program at Renmin University of China and is a Board Member of the China National Green Food Advisory Committee. Her research interests include food safety and management, food security and agricultural development, food nutrition and health, consumer behavior, and nutrition economics.
