Prof. Dr. Andrea Fagiolini is a Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Molecular Medicine, University of Siena School of Medicine. After graduating from Liceo Scientifico, he completed his medical training at the University of Pisa School of Medicine. He holds multiple roles as Chairman, Chief of Medical Services, and Residency Training Director for the Department (DAI) of Mental Health and Division of Psychiatry. His research interests focus on the pharmacological treatment of major depressive, bipolar, and psychotic disorders; dimensional approaches to psychiatric treatment; the impact of physical comorbidities on mental illness outcomes; the efficacy of various medications on specific psychiatric symptoms; and personalized, sequential treatment strategies for mood and psychotic disorders.
