Nina N. Grenon, DNP, AOCN, is an adult gerontological nurse practitioner caring for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers for the past 27 years. She is currently working at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). She was awarded a Master's and doctoral degree at Simmons University, Boston Massachusetts. She is a frequent presenter at the Oncology Nursing Society Congress. She is frequently published in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing and other peer-reviewed journals on the care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and nursing implications. She is the recipient of several awards including the President’s Award for Nursing Excellence at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in 2021.
Karen Waldrop is in her 7th year as an Oncology Nurse Navigator at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received her BSN from the Florida State University School of Nursing in Tallahassee, Florida. Karen holds certifications as both an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Oncology Nurse Navigator – Certified Generalist(ONN-CG). She has been part of the COR2ED GI Nurses Connect since its inception in December 2018. Karen maintains active membership in her local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society and the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators.
Brittni Prosdocimo, MSN, RN, BMTCN. She earned her MSN from Waynesburg University and BSN from Carlow University. She is currently the Director of Regulatory, Safety, and Professional and Patient Education at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for the Medical Oncology Division. She started her nursing career as a critical care nurse working at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She joined Hillman Cancer Center in 2021, where she was a clinical research nurse working with head and neck cancer patients. In 2013, she transitioned to the Hematology Oncology Division as the Manager of the UPMC Stem Cell Transplant Program and Unit Director of the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers. In late 2017, she became the manager of the education department for UPMC Hillman Cancer Center before transitioning into her current position. She lectures on different oncology topics for the UPMC oncology courses. Has had several posters accepted into the annual Oncology Nursing Society meeting, along with journal publications in Nursing 2024 and Journal for Nurses in Professional Development 2024.
