Alessandro Mengarelli received a PhD degree in information engineering in 2017 from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy, and he is currently an assistant professor in biomedical engineering at the same institution. His main research interests are biomedical signal processing, human biomechanics, movement analysis, inertial sensing, myoelectric pattern recognition, human–machine interfaces, and time-series analysis. He authored/coauthored more than 80 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. He is an IEEE member, and a registered professional engineer. He served as a member of scientific and technical committee for several symposia and international conferences.
