Filippos Triposkiadis is a professor of cardiology in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Thessaly and the Director of the Department of Cardiology, Larissa University Hospital, Larissa, Greece. He also serves as a member of the Hellenic Cardiological Society, Hellenic Hypertension Society, and Hellenic Society of Atherosclerosis; he is the vice president of the Hellenic Society for the Study and Research of Heart Failure and elected president at the Hellenic College of Cardiology. He has authored and co-authored more than 200 publications and has edited of three textbooks. His research interests focus on invasive cardiology, heart failure, and intensive care.

John Skoularigis is a professor of cardiology at the General University Hospital of Larissa, Larissa, Greece. He graduated from medical school at the University of Patras, Greece, with a medical degree in 1984 and a Ph.D. in 1994. He was an assistant professor of cardiology in the Cardiology Department, Larissa University Hospital, from 1998 to 2008 and an associate professor of cardiology in the Cardiology Department, Larissa University Hospital, from 2008 to 2016. His research focuses on heart failure, coronary intervention, and valve disease.
