Dr. Ying-Cheng Huang currently serves as the Director of Spine Division, Department of Neurosurgery. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, in 2001, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2009, focusing on research on neural stem cells (Nature) in 2009. He worked as a Residency in the Department of Neurosurgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou (1996-2001), and as an Attending Physician in the Department of Neurosurgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, in 2019. His research interests mainly include complex and minimal invasive spine surgery, brain tumor, endoscopic endonasal trans-sphenoid surgery, endoscopic sympathectomy, and pain procedures.

Dr. Ping K. Yip completed his PhD investigating metabotropic glutamate receptors in rodent models of epilepsy under the supervision of Prof. Brian Meldrum and Dr. Marcus Rattray at the Institute of Psychiatry (King's College London). He spent his post-doctoral time studying neuropathic pain and spinal cord injury at King's College London working under Prof. Stephen McMahon. Thereafter, he worked with Prof. Adina Michael-Titus and Prof. John Priestley at Queen Mary University of London, where he later became a Non-Clinical Lecturer in Neuroscience. His research group focuses on neuroregeneration, neuroplasticity, neuroprotection, neurodegeneration, and neuroinflammation in neuro injury. He has significant in vitro and in vivo technical knowledge and abilities, which has enabled him to publish research articles in the field of pain, motor neuron disease, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
