Prof. Dr. Yong Kang received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is a professor and doctoral advisor currently directing the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Power Electronics and Energy Management. His career has focused on teaching and research in power electronics and electric drives, particularly high-reliability, high-performance digital control of power electronic devices, innovative power electronic circuits, renewable energy systems, AC drives, modular and parallel redundancy technology, electromagnetic compatibility, and power quality control. Prof. Kang’s achievements include two National Science and Technology Progress Awards, a National Teaching Achievement Second Prize, a First Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievement from the Ministry of Education, and eight other provincial and ministerial awards.
