Yuxi Zhang is a Professor in the College of Life and Sciences at Qingdao Agricultural University. She is also the Director of the Peony Branch of the Chinese Society for Horticultural Science. She received her Bachelor’s degree in forestry and Master’s degree in crop genetic breeding from Shandong Agricultural University in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and earned a Ph.D. in marine biology from Ocean University of China in 2006. Her main research areas include Research on the Mechanism and Technology of Peony Blooming in Off-Season and Molecular Biology of Oil Accumulation in High-Oil Peony.
Cui Li has been an Associate Researcher in the classification and evolution of marine organisms at the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), since September 2023. She graduated from Northwest A&F University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree and then received her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the Institute of Oceanology, CAS, in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Afterward, she completed her Postdoctoral Research at the same institute (2017–2023). Her research is mainly focused on the biological classification and phylogenetic study of the Chinese offshore and exploring a research method combining reductionism and systematics.
