Dr. Gerardo Israel Pérez-Soto is a professor of the Facultad de Ingenieria of the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro (UAQ). After finishing his PhD studies at Universidad de Guanajuato, he joined UAQ as an assistant professor in 2013. Gerardo Israel Pérez-Soto has received several fellowships and awards, including the A. T. Yang Memorial Award in Theoretical Kinematics and Best Paper by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering in 2007 and 2011. Gerardo Israel Pérez-Soto is a member of the Mexican Association on Robotics and Industry (AMRob), and he is in the National System of Researchers (SNI), CONACyT, Mexico. His current research field is focused on theoretical kinematics, humanoid robots, and mobile robots, as well as assembly automatization and applications of mechanical engineering in industrial processes.
