She is a fellow of the Institute of Applied Statistics, Sri Lanka, and a member of the International Institute of Forecasters. She is a
winner of the University of Colombo Collaborative Research Grant in 2012 and 2019.
Gamage Pemantha Lakraj joined the Department of Statistics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, as a probationary lecturer in 2009, and he is currently working as a lecturer in the same department. He completed his PhD in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics at Texas Tech University in the fall of 2015 and an MSc from the same institution in 2012. Previously, he received a BSc in Statistics from the University of Colombo in 2007. Dr. Lakraj’s dissertation research was in smoothed functional principal component analysis with a focus on asymptotic theory on Hilbert space. In addition to expanding upon those projects, his current research interests include mathematical statistics, multivariate methods, and time series data analysis.
