Dr. Nkhensani Florence Mabunda received her Baccalaureus Curationis Degree in May 2010 from the University of Venda, Masters Curationis in May 2014 from the University of Venda, Buccalaureus Curationis in Nursing Education and Administration from North-West University in April 2018, Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Health Studies from the University of Venda in September 2018, and a master's in advanced Psychiatric Nursing in May 2022. She worked as a Professional Nurse at Evuxakeni Mental Health Hospital from March 2010 to February 2020. In March 2021, she moved to Gauteng College of Nursing in Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing Campus to facilitate teaching and learning for Psychiatric Nursing Science and moved to Sefako Makgatho Health Science University in September 2022 to take on a Lecturer position in the Nursing Department. Her research topics mainly include family involvement in caring for mental health care users in long-term mental health institutions. She has developed a model to promote family involvem
