Xianjun Hao is a Research Professor at the Department of
Geography and Geoinformation Science, College of Science, George Mason
University, Fairfax, VA, USA. He received his PhD in Computational Science and
Informatics from George Mason University in 2006. His research interests
include remote sensing data analysis and applications, climate data records and
climate change, and natural hazards detection and assessment.
John J. Qu is a Full Professor at the Department of
Geography and Geoinformation Science, College of Science, George Mason
University (GMU), Fairfax, VA, USA. He is the Founder and Director of the
Global Environment and Natural Resources Institute (GENRI) and Environmental
Science and Technology Center (ESTC) at GMU. He received his Ph.D. in Remote
Sensing from Colorado State University in 1997. His major research focus is
already underway to develop integrated early warning and decision-support
systems for sustainable Water-Energy-Food-Health (WEFH) Nexus.
