Abel R. Navarro Arcas is currently the Deputy Director of the Higher Polytechnic School of Elche, responsible for Academic Coordination, University Coexistence, Equality, and Diversity. He is also a lecturer on the Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. He is affiliated with the Institute of Research in Engineering of Elche. Abel R. Navarro Arcas obtained the title of Technical Engineer in Industrial Design in 1997 from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the title of Industrial Engineer in 2005, and a Doctorate in 2015 from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche with the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude for unanimity. In his research field, he has been involved in six projects funded by public entities and 25 R&D contracts related to the design and development of industrial vehicles and product design. In terms of industrial and intellectual property, he has participated in three international patents, two national patents, and received recognition of Know How for the creation of a spin-off jointly owned by Miguel Hernández University. Among his scientific publications, notable achievements include three indexed journal articles, four book chapters published by Springer, and participation in 13 national and international conferences. He served as an organizing member of the XXI National Congress of Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Spanish Association of Mechanical Engineering.
Juan Llorca-Schenk is Assistant Professor at the University of Alicante. Industrial Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (1999), specialised in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Technology, Process Simulation and Engineering Projects. Since 2023 he holds a PhD from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche with the qualification of Distinction Cum Laude. He has developed his professional career in the international field of the manufacture of metal-mechanical products, with notable contributions during his stay of more than a decade in various international plants of the multinational company Hydro. In terms of journal publications, it is worth mentioning his 3 publications in international journals with impact within the JCR.

Carlos is currently the head of the Human Robotics group (www.huro.ua.es) and is involved in more than five research projects around education, rehabilitation robots, and intelligent manipulation. He is a lecturer at the University of Alicante on robotics and mechanisms in the Robotic Engineering degree, Automation and Robotics masters, and Biomedical Engineering masters. Carlos A. Jara received the title of Industrial Engineer in 2005 from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, where he was recognised with the 5 Star University Award, and his Doctorate in 2010 from the University of Alicante with the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude with unanimity. The applicant's doctoral thesis received the CESEI Award (best Spanish Doctoral Thesis on research in technological applications in the field of education in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Telecommunications Engineering and Computer Engineering) in the call for 2011. In the research field, Carlos A. Jara's research areas have focused on robotic simulation, virtual and remote laboratories, engineering education, robotic manipulation, human–robot interaction, and assistive and rehabilitation robotics. Regarding publications in journals, he has achieved 35 publications in international journals, among which 27 publications have a JCR Impact Factor. Regarding international and national conferences, Carlos A. Jara has achieved more than 60 publications.
Irene Sentana is a notable academic in Chemical Engineering, earning her degree from the University of Alicante in 1999 and her Ph.D. in 2006, graduating with the highest honors (Excel. Cum Laude). Since 2000, she has been a professor in Graphic Expression in Engineering at the Polytechnic School of Alicante and currently serves as secretary of the department. In 2010, she became the director of the Engineering Design and Technological Development research group, where her leadership has fostered significant advancements in research and technology. Throughout her career, Dr. Sentana has been pivotal in over 100 contracts and agreements and has participated in more than 50 competitive R&D projects funded by various organizations. Her contributions include two patents and a substantial body of work comprising 90 scientific publications and 96 conference contributions. Her achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the 2011 Impulse Award for Sustainable Environmental Coastal Management for her project on oceanic drift posidonia. In 2019, she received the Social Entrepreneurship Award from the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation and the University of Alicante for her work in design and social development. Dr. Sentana is also a member of the INGEGRAF association, dedicated to promoting graphic expression in engineering. Her dedication to academia and social responsibility continues to inspire her students and colleagues.
