Julide Yazar is an Associate Professor and the James B. Heisler Endowed
Chair in the Department of Economics & Business at Ohio Wesleyan
University. She completed her doctorate at the Ohio State University,
where she won the Outstanding Graduate Associate Teaching Award. She
holds an M.B.A. from Imperial College, London, UK. Prior to her doctoral
studies, she worked as a corporate finance specialist at Credit
Lyonnais. Her teaching areas are game theory, industrial organization,
microeconomic theory, and behavioral economics. Her current research
interests are mathematical economics, game theory, machine learning and
agent-based models in economics and neuroeconomics. She received the
best application paper award at the 4th International Conference on
Decision Economics in 2022 for her work on Bayesian learning in Cournot
markets.
