John Seymour (Pat) Heslop Harrison is a master scientist in the field of genomics and molecular cytogenetics with 396 publications, 21,749 citations and an H-index of 79. His achievements in evolutionary biology research are world-renowned. Recent achievements include the publication of the first chromosomal-level genome map of Musa nigra [GigaScience, 2022, 11: giac027]; a study on the complete repeat sequence of a Petunia genome endogenous virus [Nature Plants, 2016, 2(6): 16074]; and the mapping of the chromosome-level genome of Musa parvus [Nature, 2012, 488 (7410): 213-217]. Liu Qing, PhD, Associate Professor, South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She obtained her Botany PhD degree from the South China Botanical Garden (CAS) in 2005. Her research areas include plant genome evolution and molecular cytogenetics. She has published 54 papers (including eight chapters in monographs) and has an H-index of 19 with 1800 citations (Annals of Botany, 2023, 131: 1-10 selected as ESI top 1% of highly cited papers worldwide). She is a Consultant of the Expert Advisory Groups of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation and a Member of the International Project Evaluation Committee, Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Aermenia.
