Prof. Dr. Fábio Kummrow is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Diadema Campus of Universidade Federal de São Paulo. He completed his degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Universidade do Vale do Itajaí in 1998, a Master’s in Pharmacy at Universidade de São Paulo in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis at Universidade de São Paulo in 2006. His research interests include Environmental Toxicology and Ecotoxicology, focusing on genotoxic contaminants, blue rayon extraction, freshwater and estuarine contamination, mutagenicity of airborne particulate matter, environmental exposure to toxic metals, toxicity assessment of residues from the textile and veterinary pharmaceutical industries, effect-directed chemical analysis (EDA), and ecotoxicological evaluation of nanomaterials.
