Instructor Certificado del Programa Mindfulness y Equilibrio Emocional. Formación en los programas: Entrenamiento en Terapia Centrada en la Compasión (CFT), Mente Compasiva (EMC) y Cultivo de la Compasión (CCT). Académico investigador del Departamento de Enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencia de la Salud de la Universidad de Antofagasta.

Dr. María Dolores Ruiz-Fernández graduated in Nursing from the University of Almería in 1994. Graduate in Psychology from UNED in 2004. PhD from the University of Almería in 2016. Official Master's Degree in Nursing Sciences. University Expert in Bioethics from the University of Granada and EASP. University Expert in Applied Social Gerontology from the University of León. She has worked for 20 years in different units of the public health service of Andalusia, since 2008, she began to carry out her healthcare work as a Nurse Case Manager for the Almería Health District. She has been a clinical tutor for nursing students for several years, later an associate professor of health sciences and she is currently a professor in the Department of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medicine at the University of Almería. In addition, she is the President of the Andalusian Association of Family and Community Nursing.  Her lines of research include Community Health, Informal support and family caregivers, Dignified death and end-of-life care, Humanization in care, and Compassion.
