Wenhua Jiao earned his Ph.D. in Communication and Information Systems from Peking University (1998.8–2001.6). Currently, he serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the AI Institute of China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), where he also directs the Machine Vision and Perception Research Center. Additionally, he holds the title of "Huashan Scholar" Lecture Professor at Xidian University.
His primary research areas include machine vision defect detection and video analysis for transparent and reflective items, smart mining, AI-driven energy conservation (with a focus on time series prediction), and 5G technology. Dr. Jiao has published over 40 papers in high-impact journals and conferences, reflecting his contributions to these cutting-edge fields.
He remains deeply engaged in fostering innovation and guiding doctoral candidates in advancing the frontier of AI and machine vision research at CUMT.
