Dr. Ping Wang, Ph.D., is a senior engineer and master’s supervisor at the Lanzhou Institute of Seismology, China Earthquake Administration. He is a director of Gansu Rock Mechanics and Engineering Society, Gansu Mechanics Society, Gansu Seismological Society, corresponding committee member of the International Association of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and a member of the Geotechnical Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Committee and the Earthquake Disaster Risk and Sociology Committee of the China Seismological Society. His main research interests include (1) geotechnical earthquake disaster assessment based on scenario simulation, (2) loess earthquake landslide hazard assessment, and (3) evaluation of loess foundation seismic subsidence treatment. He has been responsible for more than 20 national, provincial, and other types of scientific research projects.
