Matthew Simpson received a first class BSc in mathematics with teaching in 2018 from the University of Strathclyde. He held several teaching positions in mathematics before returning to academia in the 2023-2024 period, and he has just completed an MSc in data analytics (he will graduate with distinction in December 2024). This paper is the out-workings of his masters dissertation and his internship at INCISIV Ltd. He is now an associate business analyst at Seopa Ltd.
Professor Cathy Craig is a professor of experimental psychology at the University of Ulster. She completed her PhD studies in psychology at the University of Edinburgh. She was the receiver of a prestigious ERC grant in 2008 and a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowship in 2021. She has led a range of different research teams over the past 20 years. She has co-authored over 100 scientific papers and conference proceedings and has published with leading researchers in a range of disciplines (architecture, mathematics, computer science, biological sciences, and engineering). Her research interests include perception/action coupling, the neural control of movement, and exploiting cutting-edge technologies to enhance human movement performance.
