Author Biographies

Nabala Emmanuel Hyeroba is a hydrogeologist, currently working at the Ministry of Water and Environment in Uganda. Hyeroba holds an MSc in hydrogeology with distinction from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom, and a BSc in petroleum geoscience and production from Makerere University, Uganda. Hyeroba's expertise spans various areas within hydrogeology, including isotope hydrology, hydrogeochemistry, hydrogeological site investigation, and risk assessment, contaminated land remediation, engineering hydrology, groundwater modelling, aquifer mechanics, environmental geochemistry, catchment-based water resources management, water policy formulation, environmental impact assessment (EIA), and the proficient use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in hydrology. Through Hyeroba's academic background and professional experience, Hyeroba has developed a comprehensive understanding of water resource management and environmental conservation, contributing to sustainable practices within Uganda’s water sector and broader Sub-Saharan Africa.
