Djamel Djenouri is a senior member of the ACM and AGYA and a fellow of the HEA. He joined the UWE in December 2019. Before that, he was an ERCIM research fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, and then a senior research scientist (director of research) and the deputy director at CERIST Research Center.  He also served as adjunct full professor at Blida University and the EMP Polytechnic University, Algiers. His research interests include IoT (Internet of Things), Wireless Networks and Mobile Computing, Smart Cities, and Machine Learning Applications. He voluntarily contributed to many scholarly activities, including the organization of many international conferences/workshops and serving as editor/guest-editor/reviewer for many journals. He has been a visiting researcher at many renowned universities, including NTNU, SICS (Stockholm), University of Cape Town, UPC Barcelona, JMU Liverpool, UTC (Compiegne), Nuertingen Geislingen University (Stuttgart), University of Padova, Sousse University, University of Oxford, NTNU, etc. He was reported amongst the top 2% of most cited scientists in the annual Stanford University releases and ranked in the top 0.5% of all scholars worldwide by ScholarGPS in his research field.
