Mertol Tüfekci graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with a B.Sc. degree in 2016. He was a research assistant at the same institution for two years. He was awarded a scholarship from The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey for his Ph.D. study abroad. He completed his Ph.D. at Imperial College London, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2022. He is mainly interested in theoretical and computational solid mechanics.
