Lorena Wilson received a Biochemical Civil Engineer and
Master's in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Biochemical Engineering. Both
studies were carried out at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso
(Chile). In 2005, she obtained her PhD degree from the Universidad Autónoma de
Madrid, with a thesis developed at the Instituto de Catálisis (CSIC, Spain, Prof. JM
Guisán). She is the author of more than 80 publications in WOS journals and
five book chapters. From 2005 to date, she has been an academic at the
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (Chile), where she teaches
undergraduate and graduate courses, and leads research projects in the area of
biocatalysis. Dr. Wilson's research focuses on enzyme biocatalysis,
enzyme immobilization and co-immobilization, and bioreactor design.
