Prof. Dr. Angelika Unterhuber received an MSc degree in Technical Physics from the Technische Universität Wien, Vienna, Austria, in 1998 and a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering in 2006. From 1998 to 2002, she was the Product Manager for oscillators with Femtolasers Produktions GmbH. In 2006, she joined the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences at Cardiff University as a Research Assistant. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Medical University of Vienna, Vienna. Her current research interests include multimodal biomedical imaging, including optical coherence tomography, nonlinear optical microscopy, and Raman-based technologies with a special focus on lasers and their translation to biomedical applications.
